Kathy has been drawn to creating art since she was a child growing up in New Hampshire. For her, art was not only a device for capturing the immutable beauty of her surroundings, but a window into other worlds and cultures. Later painting would become a way to tap into her higher consciousness and channel her inner most sublime visions of the world around her. Kathy’s formal education enhanced her skills, but has not hemmed in her creative range or ethos as an artist. She obtained her B.F.A. from the Art Institute of Boston, then deepened her knowledge of history of art and classic design while earning her M.A. from The Palazzo Spinelli School of Art and Design in Florence, Italy.
Kathy paints for the sheer joy of creating, and to pass that joy to her audience. She sees life as a work of art, one that is constantly evolving and complemented by change. Her love of the medium is reflected in her commitment to teaching and sharing with others. For the past eight years she devoted her time to teaching art in the after-school program “Future Picassos” which she founded. A mother of two, Kathy now dedicates her time and creative energies to producing exceptional and distinctive artwork for clients.
Her business has been designated as a "Trusted Art Seller" with The Art Storefronts Organization, which means clients can invest in a piece with confidence, and know that she stands behind the quality and value of her work.
How can we see the highlights if all the experiences have been so rich? We can't. For me the greatest creation of my life thus far is the creation of my children. The paintings are just journal entries along the way. Stay tuned because it isn't over yet!
"There are moments in our lives, there are moments in a day, when we seem to see beyond the usual- become clairvoyant. We reach then into reality. Such are the moments of our greatest happiness. Such are the moments of our greatest wisdom. It is in the nature of all people to have these experiences; but in our time and under the conditions of our lives, it is only a rare few who are able to continue in the experience and find expression for it."
